Using only his ears he taught himself to play by listening to pieces and finding the keys to match the sound. He also had a passion for Rhythm and Poetry when he was younger and linked up with two childhood friends to form a HipHop group. He actively participated in rap battles downtown until he left nashville at the age of 16 and moved to Ripley, Tennessee. In Ripley, He met with two guitar players and formed a band playing keys accompanied by a drummer.
It was with that band that Namir decided to take up learning guitar. He constantly watched and listened intently as he began to pick up the patterns. Soon enough he bought an acoustic and sat with it night after night picking and pulling until the tips of his fingers gave out. After becoming moderate at guitar within a year of playing, he began to write songs but keep quiet about them due to shyness.
He Originally formed Soul Crusher to be an anonymous project to see how people would respond but after a performance with a good crowd reaction, he decided he would put his all into it.
