uMachuPichu were a two-piece band from Novi Sad, Serbia. They appear on D:S Vol. 2 (http://www.darkscenerecords.co.nr), a compilation by the Serbian based "Dark:Scene" Netlabel, they had no other official releases. Formed in 2007, they split up only about a year later in 2008. They recorded a couple of Post-Punk songs with female vocals over drum machine and washed-out guitar, the most remarkable ones being "Cao Ljubavi" (featured on the above mentioned compilation) and "1000 Zasto". The other songs ("Chi Chi Chachk Chachk", "Strah" and "Jabuka") are also exceptional pieces of Post Punk / Avantgarde guitar, and the cover version of "Gde Si Sad Cica Maco" by Idoli is very unique as well. They performed a couple of small shows in their hometown and also performed at the renowned EXIT festival in 2008. Read more on Last.fm.
