Although this sounds rather simple, it is hard to find anything comparable in the history of electronic music. Maybe this is because of the deep organic flow that results from testrauschens purely improvisational approach: "We work always the same way. We just sit down and play. Preparations are kept on a minimum level." That also means that there is just one take and one recording.
Everything starts with pressing the record button and whatever then happens, is the piece. No second try. The musical background of Enzo and Karsten is almost the same. "We both were influenced by the first home computers, the Commodore C64 and the Amiga.
There was a whole scene with people coming from all over the world. Creativity was highly valued and people were sharing their music for free. That time certainly left its mark on us." In 2004 Enzo and Karsten joined forces with Munich ambient artist Max Glück and started an open platform for improvised ambient music called the "Spheric Lounge". With regular events and ambient festivals the spheric lounge has become a unique part of the munich music scene, featuring more than 20 active artists.
