They formed in a hotel in Centro Historico and, over a three years time span, played in bathrooms, galleries, abandoned nunneries, clubs... really anywhere they could fit the band. They recorded and issued only one album (Wanderlust, production: UrbaNS 2000) and split when virtually all members left Mexico city in late 2000. Their only CD "Wanderlust" (obtainable so far only in Serbia) presents a collection of 16 versatile songs, ranging from protopunk two chord killers such as Mattress, Dark por Dentro, Loaded or Demon in Your Pants through more developed and complex pop/noise anthems (Punk Rock Star, Kelly was a Rocket Girl) all the way to slow and hard or melancholic numbers such as Windpipe, Hard for Me and Single Act... Hyperenergetic treatment of instruments, big, raging guitars, dirty lo-fi sound, melodic vocals and some truly great lyrics are only some of the trademarks of that truly distinct Los Armstrings sound.
