Originally known as Aqualung, the group have played extensively, an early exponent of live progressive dance music. Incorporating guitars, samplers, sequencers and occasional vocals, the band throw techno, house, funk and breakbeat into the mix. Their first two releases, “A Desired Location” and “Telaesthesia”, were sold via gigs and mail order. During 2001, Aqualung licensed tracks out to various publications including Computer Music magazine and for promotion of the X-Box.

In 2002, Aqualung was invited to write a soundscape for the Bone Corporation, performers of extreme theatre for the Glastonbury Festival. “A Timeless Tale” was performed live, headlining for three nights in the Circus and Theatre Arena. In October of the same year, Aqualung changed their name to Loop Theory and remixed Aqualung’s “Strange and Beautiful”, appearing on the cd single. Additional remixes include “A” and Lamb.

In 2003, Loop Theory released the “Theory 001” EP and appeared at Glastonbury with the Bone Corporation for performances of “The Devil’s Advocate”. 2006 brings finalising mixes for the first Loop Theory album, the band have returned….
