This follows the Rosemary EP, which was released in 2006. The EP was described as “in your face… catchy and splendid”. The album has been described as “a must for fans of uneasy listening” and “bold and ambitious… a powerful showcase of a considerable talent” and featured in several Best Of 2009 polls, including those for Hot Press magazine and Phantom FM. 'Heads' was the first single from the album as Herm tried to sneak it’s imagery of cannibalism and animal lust onto mainstream radio... The accompanying video was shot guerrilla style in a disused office building, and is a mix of live footage and animation.
Directed by Ian Benjamin Kenny it can be seen at www.myspace.com/Hermwork and www.herm.tv The second single, 'Year Of The Horse' is a duet featuring fellow Irish artist Nina Hynes. One critic called it “the most beautiful song you'll hear this year”. It received an Honourable Mention in the International Songwriting Competition, whose judges include Tom Waits, Ray Davies (The Kinks) and Robert Smith (The Cure). The current single is the crowd favourite and long-time set closer ‘Rearrange’, an angry riposte to Gloria Gaynor’s ‘I Will Survive’… All this music is available to buy from Road records, iTunes, CDBaby.com, Napster, Amazon, etc. Read more on Last.fm.
