There are two groups with the name "Go Down Moses" (1) An italian post-punk/post-hardcore band formed in 2004. They have produced two records so far, a self titled cdr and the first full lenght Welcome Idiots, recorded earlier this year at Blocco A and released on the small indie label Produzioni Sante. The band is heavily influenced by the sounds coming out of Washington, D.C. during the eighties and the nineties, as well as by loads of electronic music and, so to say, by irony. (2) A Nashville based folk-rock band formed in 2010 formerly known as the Birchtree Band. According to their website bio they were signed by Sony Nashville in 2013 and released an EP in April 2014, which was recorded in Nashville and produced by Luke Wooten (Dierks Bentley, Brad Paisley). Influences of the musical style are artists including Tom Petty, Ryan Adams, Zac Brown Band and Kacey Musgraves.

Already they have played Hangout Music Festival in Gulf Shores, AL, and Phases of the Moon Festival in Illinois along with an extensive summer tour in 2014. The group includes members: Barrett Jacques, Robert Price, Reid Huffman, Philip Haas, Casey Driscoll and Brandon Dockery. Read more on Last.fm.
