Performance artist, Dominic Martin, who has been called the Marc Almond of his generation, started girlsrisewithheat in high school as a solo project. Experimenting with synths, samplers, guitars, and glitter, Martin recorded his first EP, Boys Don't Fall in Love in his room at 17 with nothing but a Casio keyboard and some computer software. All two hundred copies flew from the tables at his earlier shows, quickly boosting girlsrisewithheat's popularity in Texas. In 2006, Dominic began to take his project a little bit more seriously, and toured for the first time hitting everywhere in America from Atlanta Georgia to San Francisco, California.
Between all of this, he also put out a second self-released EP, entitled, danse kassette danse kaskette, in March of 2006, and sold 1100 copies by December, 2006. His efforts thus far have been a complete success, and in 2007, Martin has plans to introduce the next level of girlsrisewithheat... live members including madelain cannon plus other guests. they are ready to dominate the music industry so check for dates in your city soon...
