A bit about the song writer and bass player Roland kazimierz was born in London (kilburn) in 73...then immigrated to south africa that same year. Lived in Braamfontein, then grew up in Blairgowrie. British / Slavic decent and growing up in an unsettled south african era, naturaly drawn to the "underground' movement, where artists, subculture and herbalisation where da ting. Being part of the ET generation, BMX and bb guns, where soon followed by , motor bikes, girls, music and bands. Hooked on action, rhythem and the bad old underground, roland found himself singing vocals for the band "miscarriage", a kind of glam, blues metal band where their speciality was original herb rock songs and ( kickin covers such as motley crue, metallica, jimi hendrix, the cult, bang tango, love hate, alice in chains)...

their own songs included.... walking back from your house, bain in a box, run to the light, watching from above.. they enjoyed playing those boys...Jayson da luz (guitar), who later became quite instrumental in the teaching and introduction of guitar to Roland (vocals), then Dave Anthony (bass) who could play the bass or guitar like diamond darrel in just a few short seconds, and highly talented friend, song writer and drummer Steven Dreyer. 1990-1992 Seasons came and went... and As life spun it, they all went their own seperate ways (vaginia, dublin, johannesburg and knysna) Roland stayed in joburg and so began playing precusions and working on solo.(he is still in contact with the boys from time to time) One day, he had the choice to fix up his favourite black bike, hisXL 350cc ...or ....buy his brother's Riverhead guitar and orange cab.... well the rest was history, bass became is baby in 1994...at a time of worldly political shifts and new beginnings... He wasted no time in getting stuck in their, playing riffs to build up stamina....memorising the mode shapes...and putting pen to paper. In those days, he started an original music friendship and coalition with Marco and they formed a brief band which would later be refered to as "The Doubledge Jesus Band".

1994-95 It was at this time too that Roland started developing some of his first "Core Bass Riffs" that even today are always so entertaining and full of motion. he also switched from riverhead to fender precision bass. Marco soon departed to work in cape town, and so Roland disolved him self into song writing and bass playing. Then briefly joined up with the Hill brothers to play bass for them for roughly eight months.1998 In 1999 Roland moved to London with his girlfriend Helga and where exposed to a whole new subculture of fascination and influence on his playing ( ragga, dub, acid jazz......and all those lounge bands with drum and bass, naturaly his core musical love was still metal.) In 2000 he played a fill in position with the death metal band Exit Wound for four months?, where they had two gigs at the Falcon Arms "Bar Fly" in camdon. The singer had a bout of stage panic (soar throught), so a heated discussion followed and it was decided to play anyway. aS it happens they played a very memorable set of intramental death metal (with out vocals)...the crowds loved it! so they went down well at the same bar that therapy got famouse in. and that metallica had done some small gigs in (underground years). ...the band split up and about half a year later Roland and his mate Marty where stuffing around at Antena studio in acton, when some one mentioned a drummer... And so it started, four years of brilliant weekly jamming with Erich and Marty Mayos.

The best part about living in London... Beer, Rain and Bandroom! ...and da ting??? they played a sort of punk, goth metal laced in with some acid jazz type psycodelia. Their most enjoyable jamming happening at Survival Studios in Acton and those boyz where getting down to bands like primus, bauhaus, oyster head, cyprus hill, bean bag, tom waits, st germain, buckshot le funk...and even living sacrifice." Roland being the primary song writer, bass player and singer...and this is where most of his mid 2000 stuff was formulated. His most enjoyable hang out being: "the crypt / jazz live" Camberwell High Street. Great impromptu jazz gigs, new castle brown and sweet Tia food. and "the old intrepit fox." London city, heavy metal music, beer, bad ass and pool table. ...and yes the seasons turned again.. In 2005, Roland moved back to Johannesburg and kicked off a band with jethro Hill (drums) and Marco wilde (guitar and vocals). This was a total beer and brawl, Hot Rod rock N Roll, straight from the gut band with a township rockabilly edge. 50% of the tracks listed here where performed by their band "digfish". Roland is currently working on his next albums material, which he hope to bash out to eager fans some time very soon....and so looking forward to that night of giving you straight balls to the walls power music entertainment...Go South Africa!
