The history of Elamorte.... (or Elamorte History's Story) ok...well.....history?..... oh...yes...a story..a story usually based on real facts, but passed through the inevitable filter of one's own imagination (which is as well a lack of memory), and stained by the yearning desire to make it sound meaningful .... Your own history...... history?....history is never yours... it is just a story...a story about "that"...they call "you", which is the very thing you call "I".....(or nothing...."I" don't know...) Elamorte, first of all, is not a band in the straight sense of the word...but rather a diary...DimasGestas's own diary...or his impressions of light and darkness...as he goes living and dying on the Yellow Brick Road (the way of the Cross)...and during that process, annotations are read, shouted and sang as well by other kindred spirits that bring their own energies making this act of faith more forceful and clear. Elamorte is not a specific language word (but actually a mixture of latin, spanish and italian) that comes from: "Amor" (love / alpha) and "Mort/Morte" (death / omega)...and "EL" (he) and "LA" (she)...it's also a song that praises the spark of Creation and blames the Slayer, as much as despises human nature and embraces the End... the outer...and the inner... it's the contradiction per se, yet the vindication.... How difficult it is, indeed, to write about something that is, by nature, a conflict of powers....a contradiction of ideas....an omnipresent ambivalence...a work of art upon the ambiguity of human morals, values and desires....faith and will..... The very name of the project (Elamorte) embodies, as shown earlier, the very truth of it: Love as the great task, that requires ALL the strength and courage, for one to fell it, embrace it and radiate it; and Death,as the great condemnation, that requires all the strength and courage too....in order to comprehend and accept it...and by doing so...preparing oneself for the calling of the last trumpet...the last curtain call..... If -that- that I confront in the mirror and have to carry everyday is the incarnation of a metaphysical being, and the pain I've always hold within me is the longing for my soul to be excarnated....-eLaMoRTe- (TheQuestion) is the sound of that longing, that pain, that great sadness...the gnashing of teeth here on earth...of a being that faces the misery and horrors of a human form, but dreams about the day when humans ascend (again) to that they once were and ought to be again....spirits floating in the eternal knowledge....feeling and singing the Lux Aeterna (eternal light). -eLaMoRTe- is The Sound ... of light and darkness ... for ...

they can only be combined in the depths of the soul...and once that task's been done, one must find a noble language, in order to manifest the outcome of that marriage, that is...the real soul... -eLaMoRTe- is the death made love, and love within death...It is "el canto en el ascenso al Gólgota" (the singing on the way up to the Golgotha). It is The Weeping when praying for the death of death, hoping for the subsequently clear manifestation to ALL...of the love of loves... CantoCaminoCalvario! Read more on Last.fm.
