DB Band

The DB Band story begins here, long before their rise to global acclaim. It all started when Barry (Mick Quinn of Supergrass) walked through the alleys and backstreets of Oxford in search of the ideal musical partnership, and came out into the sunshine with Fab (Paul Wilson of Shake Appeal), as the perfect bass-playing foil, followed shortly by Nick Aspey, who had been scraping a living as an itinerant bongo player, but was persuaded to become the beating heart of this lively rock combo. Taking their cue from the likes of ZZ Top and Emiliano Zapata, these boys are destined to become a huge attraction in the hit parade, with dazzling tunes such as ‘Bus Stop Shuffle’, ‘Upstairs’, ‘Dreams’ and ‘Stranger In The Alps’ (penned by Barry himself). From this point on the DB Band have become one of the most popular outfits in their field, packing dance halls wherever they appear. Today, their name commands headlines wherever they go, with lines forming around the blocks, adoring legions waiting for a chance to see and hear their unique cocktail of sounds, inspired from deep Eastern beliefs and the sound of a running tap – tribute enough to their role as popular music innovators. Many of you will already know all of this, and the fact you are reading this is a testament to your excellent musical taste. Making a purchase of the DB Band’s exceptional tunes, or attending one of their sell-out shows, will place you a cut above the average Joe, making you a face on the scene. You owe it to yourself – you owe it to all who look up to you – check out the DB Band and all the pleasures that await you.

Genius brought to your ears and phonograph player. You’ll be glad you did! Sincerely, Dr. Louie ‘Louie’ Munster. Read more on Last.fm. User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply..
