http://blancodisco.com Based in New York City, this dj/producer has been playing and producing since the early 90's and started putting his name on the map in Boston after graduating from Berklee College of Music and began dj'ing the clubs on Lansdowne St (Venus De Milo, Axis, Avalon) along with countless bars, clubs & raves in and out of New England. His first releases came out under the name Sedona, (http://www.discogs.com/artist/Sedona), with partner Dale Charles on Boston based OHM Recordings only later to release records on Rampant Records (Los Angeles) and various dj mix cd compilations. Benny Blanco® has a few remixes under his belt for Lida Husik (Astralwerks), Mankind Liberation Front (Sol3/BMG) and Dadawah (Sire) as Bittah Kru (with Redboy). Most of the productions over the last few years have not been pursued for label signing and remain as 'unreleased' tracks, but tracks are downloaded from the blancodisco.com website. His latest efforts are found on a record with Onionz writing and performing the 303 lines on Mi Casa's "Give To Live" / "Sydney's Groove" (http://www.discogs.com/release/494606). He also has a release out on Tampopo's Sweet Smelling Surfaces net label (release #27), the "Breakfast EP" which contains three acid techno styled tracks (http://www.sumodehouse.com/sss/v2.php?r=27&PHPSESSID=8e9f979f3b6fb0497d80757e0e475fb5#n27) As a DJ, he regularly supplies DJ mixes to the "DJ Sets" preset channel on AOL radio where he also posts to his blancocast podcast (easily found on iTunes or through the website).

He continues to perform semi-regularly around various new york city bars/clubs and corporate type engagements. Highlights include performances at Cooper-Hewitt Design Museum, NY Cares Charity Benefits, Sullivan Room and the old Palladium (r.i.p.). He plans to launch blancodisco as a net label spanning his catalog of numerous productions. Read more on Last.fm.
