Allgood Asylum

Allgood Asylum was born in the mind of drummer extraordinaire, Mike Allgood. Along with his close friend, guitarist Michael "Pinkie" Ivey, they decided to make some heavy metal and hard rock type music. Fresh off of working with a Georgia band called Crankshaft, the duo set out to make some great new music, and to make a CD, and finally complete and album's worth of songs, material that would be entirely original, without one cover song. They felt that never in their time of working as musicians, performing countless live shows, and constantly working...

without an album completed, they had nothing to show for all of their work. So their plan was set in motion to make Allgood Asylum. JJ Talynn {Pinkie's cousin- a bassist} was recruited to handle the bass guitar duties, as well as guitarist Keith Rindt-who would bring a different vibe and feel to the music. With Dee Perry joining the group performing on electronic drums and samples, a powerhouse was born.

Little did they know, what was in store for them... In 2007, they auditioned a vocalist named Charles "Chuk" Rocker for try-out. And after a few meet-ups, he had begun writing original lyrics that was a great match with their music. According to an interview ["That's my band"] with Allgood Asylum on "metrospirit.com" his writing "cemented the deal." With this incarnation of Allgood Asylum, an internet sensation was created. As of Feb.

2010, they have over sixteen thousand followers on the website myspace, and their album isn't even out yet. The already posted demo versions and unfinished materials have garnered them this much attention already. The music is authentic, and that resonates with the listener. The sound is not over-produced and machine-like, as with many other groups today.

Here is raw music, rough around the edges, and dangerous. Soon, the album will be completed, and Allgood Asylum will be even further along their way to world domination. Read more on Last.fm. User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply..
