Their vocals have been compared to Chicane’s track “Saltwater” and quoted as “Atmospheric, Luscious, Beautifully abstract, Spine-tingling, Heart wrenching, Fresh and Unique”. Cat ‘n’ Bex have been working together since 2003 and have won an “Honourable Mention Award” from the world renowned John Lennon Songwriting competition 2004, for there track “Underworld Nation”. Their debut track “Tears Of An Angel” has received several remixes including remixes by B.P.M, Ian Betts which received a 5/5 review in IDJ Mag Nov 2004 and became a KISS 100 anthem being heavily supported by DJ legend Graham Gold. Now in 2005 under the aka name of ARIA Project they commissioned Hemstock & Jennings to do a new remix which has had support from Armin Van Burren ASOT, John O’Callaghan and DJ Choose “This tune is so damn beautiful”. In 2006 ARIA Project “Tears Of An Angel” (Hemstock & Jennings remix) has been licensed to United Recordings for their “A Quest Of Trance 2006” Compilation and also signed to Quake Records, Japan and Elevation Records, UK were it will see a full single release and a new remix to add to the release in summer 2006. ZIRENZ was formed in late 2004 from the success of “Tears Of An Angel” and over the last 12 months they have worked and received support from some of the most established and new DJ’s in the world “ZIRENZ are certainly a talent to look out for in the coming months” DJ/Producer Adam White aka Whiteroom.
ZIRENZ, in 2005 signed an exclusive artist contract to Mondo Records owned by Darren Tate. ZIRENZ debut release on Mondo Records ZIRENZ “Utopia” Original mix & Gavyn Mytchel 003 remix. Both mixes have gathered play’s from DJ’s such as Armin Van Burren ASOT Radio, Above & Beyond “Record of the Week” TATW Radio, John Askew “Record of the Week selection” Kiss FM Radio and Utopia also reached No.7 in the DMC World Trance Charts, made the Ministry of Sound Jan 2006 Vital Vinyl Chart and Radio B playlist. Utopia has received rave reviews in IDJ Mag 5/5 Jan issue, DJ Mag 4/5 Feb issue and made it on to the Jan 2006 M8 Mag cover mount CD. ZIRENZ second single release on Mondo Records, ZIRENZ “Edge of Space” Original mix and supported by an amazing remix from the Whiteroom duo Adam White and Andy Moor. This tune has shown it’s a stormer, as it has great support already from so many A list DJ’s Armin Van Burren “Tune of the Week” & “ Web voted feature favourite” ASOT Radio, Above & Beyond AATW Radio, Markus Schulz DI.FM Radio, Corderoy LODI Radio just to name a few. ZIRENZ “Edge of Space” (Whiteroom remix) has also been included on some of the top Trance compilation out there, Armin Van Burren “ASOT 2006” compilation, A State of Trance Recordings, Plastic Angel & Niklas Harding “True To Trance” compilation, Afterglow Records and Darren Tate & Mike Koglin “Mondo Sessions 001” compilation, Mondo Records up-to-date all are out in 2006. In June 2005 Cat ‘n’ Bex signed an exclusive publishing deal with 23rd Precinct / Notting Hill Music Ltd which has seen them venture into the world of Happy Hardcore teaming up with known DJ/Producer Joey Riot under the aka name of Vox Twins.
Their first track is called “I Can’t Breathe” signed to Hecttech Records for a single release summer 2006. Also Cat ‘n’ Bex have some other co/writing projects in development with Trance legends Stu & Matt aka BINARY FINARY and also with DJ Graham Gold. They have also had interest for future projects with Dunderstadt aka FRAGMA so look out for news later this year. Cat ‘n’ Bex have another co/writing project that is developing with Escape legend & Klub Kaos resident and Welsh DJ of the year Danny Slade and JTB (Jon the Baptist) bringing a new energy trance with a twist of atmospheric vocals under the name of TRIPEZIUM their debut track “Prison Of Love” has been signed to Dance Street Records, Germany for there next MegaRave compilation and has been signed to new digital dance label Emotive Sounds for a single release summer 2006.
