This experience blew the doors open wide leading to a journey discovering all the great progressive bands of the 70s. Anton became addicted with this kind of music that went deep into mind and heart: Yes, Van der Graaf Generator, Gentle Giant, Pink Floyd, Camel and Genesis. Anton began to play the organ without having lessons. He made experiments with recording crazy tracks in double speed using an old Phillips audiotape machine. In the early 80s Anton was studying graphic design and finished his apprenticeship in 1987. He started to have a successful career as an graphic designer for fashion catalogues, CD covers and more in the advertising world. As he discovered the new sampling possibilities of modern keyboards he went on to compose his own progressive music.
He programmed a lot of exciting short tracks on a Korg M1 just using its sampling/recording functions. In the 90s the Apple computers became an important part of graphic design and music production. Anton bought the startup version of the fascinating software "Cubase" and went on composing more and more complex progressive tracks by using a lot of MIDI Keyboards and sound modules. 1993 he met Christoph Bühring-Uhle, music production manager and founder of the label company BSC Music. In the forthcoming years Anton did the artwork design for more than 200 CD albums. Christoph was enthused by Antons very special music compositions, too, and started to release ZINKL music on his label. In the years 1994 - 2004 BSC Music published all seven albums by ZINKL.
ZINKL music became successful especially in Poland, Spain, Italy and USA. 2001 Anton contacted Mexican singer-songwriter Alquimia living in London. Her exciting voice and compositions became a very important part of the album "Underwater" by Zinkl & Alquimia. This album was a special cornerstone in the musical career of ZINKL and crops a lot of excellent reviews. At the present time Anton is still very busy as graphic designer while pursuing to compose new music that again will cross musical boundaries.
