Alot of you might have heard Snoop Dogg's Welcome To The Chuuch album that hit stores late last year, and you remember the hot female rapper Tiffany Fox with her sexy single "Shake That Shit." But did you know the kid behind the song and it's catchy hook? Introducing Yung Walt, the young Los Angeles MC that made his entry way into the game at the top. When Snoop heard producer Terrace Martin's beat with Walt's club bangin' hook, he had to make it his. Capitalizing off the success of that song, Walt released his solo album, Hustle 2 Struggle within a month of the compilation's release. Walt didn't always have aspirations to be a rapper.

His focus was always on the Basketball court, he then started dabbling in writing raps, which then caught the eye of people around him. From there, his close friend 1500 started introducing him to key players in west coast hip hop, such as Terrace Martin, Battlecat, and Chords. With over 3,000 copies sold within the first month alone, it looks like the transition from hoops to rap is a successful one so far. Hustle 2 Struggle boasts 16 original tracks, all from the creative mind of Yung Walt.

"It got west coast classics, it got a down south feel, it got an east coast feel. I just wanted to show the world, whatever you bout I'm bout too, but I'm keepin it west coast." Snoop Dogg's producer Terrace Martin also served as the projects' co-executive producer. Read more on Last.fm.
