Formed in 2003, YouNoGoDie consist of Chris, Baz, Nav and Martin. The band have built up a live reputation as a pounding, loud, stripped down live act, consisting of interweaving, discordant guitars, paired with tight rhythms, drawing influences from Fugazi, Gang Of Four, Fela Kuti and Cable. The band have built up a live reputation as a pounding, loud, stripped down live act, consisting of interweaving, discordant guitars, paired with tight rhythms, drawing influences from Fugazi, Gang Of Four, Fela Kuti and Cable. Having played throughout the UK with the likes of Hot Club de Paris and Medications the band are now beginning to build on this in other cities in the UK. In 2006, the band did a small tour of Holland after receiving support from Radio DJ Marcelle Van Hoof and plans for another tour 2007.

They have also recieved recent support from Phil Jupitus, being played on his BBC 6 show. "It must blow to be a band from Derby that makes loud guitar music. Every review you read is going to say the same word and that word is 'Cable'. The city seems full of bands in debt to the late Cable, either in their musical style or their ambition. Difference is, Younogodie deserve it.

They have the same unforced quality to their songs where you just get the feeling that writing them was as natural as breathing.
