Before starting the whole Wishlist business in early 2005, they were already appearing in various other Opavian student-bands playing mostly garage rock. The name of the band is taken from the title of the Pearl Jam's eponymous song. Pearl Jam has along with Nirvana, and the czech band Vypsaná fiXa greatly inspired Wishlist in their music. Wishlist is the band's original name, and although they played two gigs under the name Ratspotting, they quickly decided to change it back. The band released a demo in 2006, with three songs on it (Americka, Anomalie, Neco se stalo). As of April 2007 they recorded a new 7-song EP (available at www.freemusic.cz/wishlist).
In 2009 they released another demo called simply Demo(n). A third band with the name are a new classic rock band from Newbury, Berkshire in the UK. They are influenced by AC/DC, Iron Maiden and similar artists. In late March 2008, they released their debut EP, "The White Steed Of Madness", featuring 4 original songs (Cursed Lowlands, Gates Of Hell, Thou Shalt Forth Go, and the title track itself). Recently, they sacked their long-time bassist and replaced him with their original bassist, who had left to play in another local band.
Their new single 'Wildstar' is due for release soon. Read more on Last.fm. User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply..
