Unlike the oxygen bottles which lay strewn about the climbing camps in the wake of vainglorious mountaineers, the guitar equipment was toted back from the top of the world by a Tibetan guide named Lahan. A very gifted guitarist in his own right, Lahan is the eldest grandson of Tenzig Norgay -- Sir Edmund Hillary's longtime friend and 'instrumental' climbing companion for the first successful ascent of Everest in May of 1953. it was made exactly one year to the day following Tenzig's triumphant climb to the pinnacle of world history. As a tremendous fan of Richie's playing with his other project band, Forty Deuce, Lahan shreds for an avant-garde Himalayan neo-classical blues dub-trance power rap trio known as 'Fiddy-fo'.
