A classic soul and r&b project featuring the immeasurable talents of guitar god Richie Kotzen, and the renowned producer/session musician Richie Zito. A slight departure for Kotzen, but one that enables him to sink his teeth into the soul and r&b sounds that he grew up on as a child in the outskirts of Philadelphia. Unlike the oxygen bottles which lay strewn about the climbing camps in the wake of vainglorious mountaineers, the guitar equipment was toted back from the top of the world by a Tibetan guide named Lahan. A very gifted guitarist in his own right, Lahan is the eldest grandson of Tenzig Norgay -- Sir Edmund Hillary's longtime friend and 'instrumental' climbing companion for the first successful ascent of Everest in May of 1953. Richie signed Lahan's vintage Fender Statocaster, which, noting some poetic irony, was not only one of the first Strats ever produced...

it was made exactly one year to the day following Tenzig's triumphant climb to the pinnacle of world history. As a tremendous fan of Richie's playing with his other project band, Forty Deuce, Lahan shreds for an avant-garde Himalayan neo-classical blues dub-trance power rap trio known as 'Fiddy-fo'. The group's name is an affectionate combined reference to Kotzen's side-band as well as Lahan's 1954 ax. Read more on Last.fm.
