Watch The Lost City Burn

Watch The Lost City Burn is an English Industrial / Electro project that was formed in Worcester in 2008 by Cormac Baddeley, the only consistent member. Baddeley grew up in heavy metal pubs as both parents were bar managers and so spent a huge chunk of his childhood surrounded by musicians. This led to his fascination with music as a whole and specifically his dedication to singing. Baddeley did not take up an instrument until the age of 14 after being banned from music lessons at school for a ‘total lack of musical ability.’ Since teaching himself to play guitar from the age of 14, Baddeley went on to learn a number of other instruments including piano, bass, ukulele, didgeridoo and violin. From the age of 15 Baddeley has played in many bands from Heavy Metal bands such as Head Shot to indie/punk bands like The Wantons. Baddeley also has a solo project, Papa Lavalier, which is a more mellow, Acoustic / Folk / Punk offering. In 2009 Watch The Lost City Burn released its first mini-album, Out Of The Two Of Us I Know Who I’d Rather Be.

This was a seven track E.P. consisting of instrumental tracks, four of which were originally written and produced for Baddeley’s final year college project. 2013 will see the release of WTLCB’s second album, 13, which will be a full album containing collaborations with other artists and more explosive, creative tracks.
