waiting to die is project started in october 2015. they began to develop their own unique sound since then, despite silly beginnings when making a very strange & aurally bizarre album with their friend kanami which, as the title implies, was just meant to be a joke. they soon became serious about making a successful musical project and after asking the artist goreshit (one of their biggest inspirations) for advice, started using Ableton to create eerie yet soothing, melodic, drill'n'bass and *core tracks that you would never guess had any relation to the so random 'lol' album! WtD's current musical project name is also a reference to another artist who helped them develop their style and inspires them a lot, most well known as the musician WAQS. however, WAQS has over 50 confirmed aliases and rarely if ever uses the name WAQS when releasing music now.

an old alias of theirs was "I want to be dead" and this is what WtD's musical alias can be attributed to. as for WtD, their other main musical inspirations aside from goreshit and WAQS, is the highly mysterious artist known only as "Dissociative Children", who they hope one day they can find a way to contact and collaborate with. all of WtD's music can be obtained for free, just like the majority of the artists who influenced them. you can download many of their albums in HQ for no charge on their bandcamp & soundcloud.

you can also contact them via soundcloud mail if there's a track on the list you just can't find; they might be willing to share it with you. as of spring 2017, they are currently working on their next album.
