She later joins the resident company as a dancer and singer and participates in shows in and around Ghana including performances at the residence of the former UN secretary General Kofi Annan and at the MASA International festival in Abidjan, Ivory Coast. A successful audition in the year 2000 leads to an invitation to the prestigious UCLA summer program in Media and production in California USA. A program that includes; * Meet and greet tours round and about * Meet and greet tours round and about Hollywood including at the Capitol and Universal studios and Actors studios. * Lectures by famed directors and actors.
* Post production sessions and guest participations in T.V series like `The Geena Davis Show´ and `the Wheel of fortune´. She continues on to work with different American artists around the US and features in original productions including; * Kali Ma, a musical and poetic theatre piece based on a Hindu Mythology written and directed by Emery Lauten. * Street jam, TV lifestyles show aired on BET (Black Entertainment Television). VQEE makes her first music video for the song `Chini kwa chini´ that is produced by Bernard NETO and in collaboration with the American rap duo, Brown Fish.
This results in a three month promotional and performance tour together with NETO and Dj/ Promoter Dickson Ngunjiri across 15 states of the US. She makes a move across the Atlantic in 2006 to the little beautiful medieval city of Copenhagen, Denmark where, together with Singer/ Producer Claus SEEST she works on her 15 track debut album HALUA. The 3-year musical process comes to completion in May 2009 and since then VQEE features in several shows including; * Curtain raising for the MAGIC SYSTEM, famous for the song `Ngau´in Copenhagen. And for Kenya’s own superstar, NAMELESS in Stockholm Sweden. * Other performances include the NAV event and The Grand summer event in Sweden.
* She is also cast in the EMMY award winning Danish original TV series `LIVVAGTERNE´ (The Protectors). Her episode airs at the end of March 2010. Dubbed `Kenya´s Cultural Ambassador´ (Daily Nation Jan 3rd issue), her music has been called `Sweet music from within´ (Saturday Magazine´s On the Move Jan 23rd issue). VQEE was the 2009 Best Upcoming Artist nominee at the Celebrate Africa Achievement Awards.
