Unlike many non-english ska bands Voiceks Voiska sings only in their native language - Latvian, and sometimes also in Russian. The band does not strictly stick to any subgenre of ska - while most of the music can be described as two-tone ska, the band also takes brief excursions into punk rock, russian rock music, latino music and other styles.

The result, however, always is very upbeat, danceable and fun. In August 2011 the band announced a hiatus.
