The easy way to tell the difference is Vacationland (the band) is spelled with an uppercase 'V' only, whereas, VACATIONLAND (the DJ) is in all caps. 1) The musicians that would become Vacationland, started playing music together in early 2000.

Jim Wallerstein (guitars, vocals) Tim Morrin (drums) and Andrew Gibert (bass) where all new comers to the Portland area. Friend to all, Johnny Lomba (originally asked to play bass), got the guys together when all had inquired about musical prospects. While still in it's infancy, the band welcomed new member Sean Saindon (guitars, vocals), to fill in the line up. The band set out to create energetic and heartfelt music.

They released a self-titled e.p. and full length "All Around You". Tim left the band, Ryan, Bobby and Mike played drums for a bit. Vacationland decided to call it quits in 2004. 2) Starting in 2012, VACATIONLAND started making monthly mixtapes featuring nu-disco, indie-dance, french-house, disco, R&B and electro.

The music is almost always chill-out, self-described as "Blaze Wave." As of 2013, still in action. Read more on Last.fm. User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply..
