Drawing from a diverse set of influences and life experiences, lyricists James and Jordy write it down like it is. Furthering that is the ever important message that Uplift wants most to vocalise - that being a positive band doesn't mean pulling any sort of wool over the eyes. Uplift is about motivation, ambition and optimism even in the face of the hardest adversities. Rather than being lumped in one flowery mold Uplift simply takes the harsh reality of life on the road and at home and gives it a positive spin, not ignoring the negative but enhancing the positive.
Relentless touring, self booking, self promoting and self financing, Uplift truely defines the 2000's version of a Do It Yourself band. "Making The Most" is this band's latest offering. 5 hard hitting, fast and passionate tracks about the last year of the band's combined life, ending with the title track about keeping the faith in the darkest of times. Though a force to be reckoned with on the album, the band truely shines in it's lively and passionate live performance.
