Underlapper are a six-piece group from Sydney, Australia dealing out a unique sound influenced by artists like Hood, Do Make Say Think, Fog, Odd Nosdam and Efterklang. Moving beyond their post-rock and leftfield hip-hop roots (first album What came forth from the sea), the band's second album - Red Spring - included everything from ambient pop to abstract electronica and featured production contributions from Comatone, Alpen and Scissors for Sparrow. Moving beyond their post-rock and leftfield hip-hop roots (first album What came forth from the sea), the band's second album - Red Spring - included everything from ambient pop to abstract electronica and featured production contributions from Comatone, Alpen and Scissors for Sparrow. Their Third album Softly Harboured is set for release early 2011 and is an eclectic yet cohesive listen taking in elements of post rock, experimental pop and downbeat electronica. The album will be released by hellosQuare and Feral Media who will look after the CD and vinyl versions respectively.

Other releases to date include two limited remix albums entitled Remixes and Red Spring Remixes, both on the Feral Media label. Additionally they have appeared on compilations such as Southern Winter, Northern Summer, The Silent Ballet Vol.6, Plastic Cotton Tree, Mess and Noise CD #4 (which is a companion compilation to Mess and Noise music magazine), The Strain of Origin etc. Read more on Last.fm.
