The Last Skeptik
The Last Skeptik
On the radio tip, Skep also co hosted the Low Life Records Radio Show with Disorda (Suspect Packages) and Braintax. The Last Skeptik released his first double A side 12" in June 2004, on Kam from Beyond There's Netgroove label. This featured 'Word Search' (featuring Squared) and a collaboration with the now famously charismatic Sway DaSafo on the smooth summer track, 'Prior To The Present'. Both tracks featured cuts from Diversion Tactics' Jazz T and Zygote. The two vocal tracks were backed with the bonus beat 'Allende', a dope instrumental cut indeed.
The record also featured fresh and eye catching art work from designer Karen Jane. A remix of Word Search featuring Sway DaSafo and the Chubby Alcoholic (Diversion Tactics) featured on an Undercover Magazine covermount CD, and High Society Music's All Star Series Volume 1, receiving airplay from DJ Excalibah and Rodney P and Skitz on BBC1XTRA. Prior To The Present has also been featured on DJ Excalibah's covermount mix CD "We Got Next" for HipHopConnection Magazine, and UK Hustlerz: The Return compilation album, out on Suspect Packages Records. Also on that compilation, Skeptik produced and did cuts for "Shaolin Iron Claw" with The Iguana Man (a.k.a Kashmere). The Last Skeptik has also produced an E.P with rapper Conflix for Filthy Habits Records. Featuring the tracks "Think Twice" , and "Character Assassination", the 12"s B Side features the posse cut "Vision" where Conflix is accompanied by Verb T (Low Life Records), Syanyde, Grimlok (The Colony) and Baron Samedi. Keep your eyes peeled for the Think Twice video... Skeptik also writes for Undercover Magazine, and UKHH.com as a reviewer and interviewer, having written articles on P Money, Visionaries, Jazz T, Reveal and DJ Cash Money. The Last Skeptik has also completed an album with Verb T, to be released in mid 2006 on Silent Soundz, as well as recording material with Kashmere The Iguana Man, Manage, Syanyde, Conspicious and The Colony, Jehst, Diversion Tactics, Head Roc, and Kyza amongst others. http://www.thelastskeptik.com Read more on Last.fm.
