The Jugs are unlike most other Dead clones in several ways, the most important being that they sound weird as hell. I wouldn't be surprised to learn they were on LSD when they cut this album, which hits weird spots in both playing and vibe, and would make a nice bill with Bobby's Blues Band from the opposite coast.
