There are at least two artists known as The Invasion. 1) Official website: http://www.the-invasion.com The Invasion was founded in the fall of 2002 by singer songwriter Aaron Brown in Nampa, Idaho. The original lineup included Shawn McKinley on drums, Nate Hanson on guitar, Andy Adams on bass, and Brown on guitar. After the release of their self-titled EP in early 2005, Andy Adams departed to pursue a career in audio engineering and was replaced by Nathan Walker. At this time, frontman Aaron Brown began writing piano songs, cementing the band's trademark sound. The band experienced immediate success with audiences and critics, opening for acts such as The Pixies and Preston School of Industry. The Invasion began work on their debut full-length album on Father's Day of 2006 with Grammy Award winning producer Art Hodge (Santana's "Supernatural", Fight Club, The Dust Brothers, etc.), but completion of the album was delayed by the destruction of Brown's home by mold and water damage, as well as ongoing anxiety attacks that he was experiencing. The album was finally released in April of 2008 at Boise's Knitting Factory, and The Invasion is supporting the album in the west as well as headlining large venue and arena shows in their area. 2) The Invasion (earlier known as The Ethics) was a Milwaukee-area band who had a cult hit in 1967 with "The Invasion Is Coming." The lineup was Don Gruender guitar, Mark Miller bass, Gene Peranich keyboards and Mike Jablonski drums.
