The Hugs are a popular psychedelic garage pop band native of Portland, Oregon U.S.A. Currently consisting of musicians: Danny Delegato (Founder, Lead Singer, Guitar, Songwriter) and Jack Burgess (Guitar, vocals) Kauri Voss (Bass) and Keagan O'brien (Drums). The Hugs began in 2007 in Portland, Oregon when singer/Founder Danny Delegato formed the group at Cleveland Highschool. The Hugs began in 2007 in Portland, Oregon when singer/Founder Danny Delegato formed the group at Cleveland Highschool. The Hugs quickly began writing and delivered their debut self titled album in May 2007 to startling critical acclaim. Within months the band was 'discovered' and signed by famous rock photographer Roger Sargent, who liked the bands sound, later the group signed to Columbia UK/1965 Records in the United Kingdom in early 2007. London's imprint 1965 Records folded in 2009.

The Hugs have been independent since. Currently writing and recording their forthcoming 5th studio album in Portland, Oregon. USA.
