The Giveaways!

The Giveaways began their journey in 2010, beginning with Brian “Bree Bree” White and Mike "The Bott." Those two realized that they couldn’t start a band with just one guitar and a bass, so young Dan was asked to join the duo as a second guitarist...against his will. The Giveaways began their journey in 2010, beginning with Brian “Bree Bree” White and Mike "The Bott." Those two realized that they couldn’t start a band with just one guitar and a bass, so young Dan was asked to join the duo as a second guitarist...against his will. Even though Dan’s age would guarantee them gigs at Chuck E. Cheese solely, Dan’s talent amazed Mike and Brian. One day the three of them were jamming around and noticed that something was missing.

They realized that they weren’t able to keep good timing while playing due to lack of drums. So, a quick search on the Internet and a drummer was found. However, little did they know that their drummer was in fact black, so they were forced to keep their racist jokes to themselves only to find out that the drummer was just as racist and prejudice. After a few jamming sessions, the deal was sealed and The Gods gave birth to The Giveaways. Since then, The Giveaways have been playing together, having fun doing it, and pissing off the drummers’ neighbors.

The Giveaways are always looking to play, regardless of a venue’s size. They’ll rock playing in front of five people just as much as playing in front of six….or hundreds. The Giveaways may be a young band, especially because of a certain “someone” but they’ll rock harder than most. They are always working on new material to keep things fresh, as well as adding a few covers here and there.

Don’t expect to hear any Nickelback, or country because you won't find it here. We keep it punk and sloppy. Read more on Last.fm. User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply..
