The First Snow


The First Snow formed somewhat ironically in the summer of 2008/09. Made up of members from various other disbanded local Perth bands (Sounds Like Sign Language, Slowlight and Coverstory Massacre), and each bringing something different to the table, they began working on their first 3 tracks, initially without a complete lineup but developing as members joined the family. July 2009 saw the band record those first 3 tracks and provide them for free online as well as handing them out at shows. Read more on Last.fm

July 2009 saw the band record those first 3 tracks and provide them for free online as well as handing them out at shows. With more tracks completed and the sound maturing, The First Snow has played shows with the likes of upcoming perth giants Arms Like Branches (ex Elora Danan), and supporting Kenny Vasoli of the Starting Line. Summer 2009/10 sees the band playing a dense calender of shows before knuckling down to write an 'EP-ette' (like Closure In Moscow's 'albumette' The Penance and the Patience) of 3 new songs, as well as writing new songs to perform live and for possible future recordings.
