The Eldad Tarmu Chamber Jazz Ensemble is a septet led by American vibraphonist and composer Eldad Tarmu. The band members with whom Tarmu recorded their first CD, Songs for the Queen of Bohemia, are Romanian Johnny Bota on double bass, Israeli drummer Yoni Halevy and The Tabac String Quartet (former Timișoara String Quartet) formed by members of the Banatul Philharmonic in Timișoara, Romania: Ștefan Colompar - violin, Cătălina Costin - violin, Cristian Hațeg-Turcuș - viola and Diana Butaru - cello.
