The Composure is a power-pop band from Pittsburgh, PA comprised of Paul Menotiades (vocals/guitar), Seth Milly (guitar/vocals), Cory Muro (drums/vocals) & Johnny Grushecky (bass). Formed in 2007, the guys caught the attention of producer Marc McClusky (Weezer, Bad Religion, Ludo), who contacted the band after hearing their demos posted on Myspace. The group formed a "partnership" & began recording. During this time producer Mark Trombino (Blink 182, Jimmy Eat World, The Starting Line) also contacted the band & mixed 6 songs. Over the course of 3 years the band recorded several times at Chicago Sound Lab. In August 2010 the band wrapped up recording at Sound City Studios in Los Angeles. Their debut full-length, "Strings Attached" was released on November 16, 2010 on the Modern Short Stories label. To date over 2000 copies have been sold. The Composure has been touring regionally over the past 3 years & have played showcases at the SXSW festival since 2009.

They have played with many notable bands, including The Get Up Kids, Saves the Day, Mae & Mayday Parade. In 2011 they won the Earn It Yourself spot & played the Kevin Says Stage at the Burgettstown, PA Warped Tour date. In November 2011, The Composure opened for local legend Joe Grushecky & the Houserockers. At the show, special guest Bruce Springsteen joined the boys onstage during their rendition of "Dancing in the Dark." As of September 2011 The Composure completed a new EP, Stay the Course, & are planning an March 2012 release. According to Cory, "we like to party & make music." Read more on Last.fm.
