There are two bands with this name: 1) A short-lived Kool Keith and Godfather Don project. They released the "Cenobites EP" on Bobbito Garcia's Fondle Em label in 1993, followed by the expanded "Cenobites LP" on the same label in 1995. 2)The Cenobites emerged early 1994 as a trio consisting of Alien- guitar&voice, Horrible Hak-slappin bass and Creepy Kiel on drums. First the Bassplayer left, and after a whole bunch of people tried but failed, was replaced by P.G. Vogeli, a well known figure in the Rotterdam psycho-billy scene. With him the original CENODEMONICSOUND of the Cenobites was developed, a mixture of psycho, punk and fifties rock'n roll.They are influenced by Demented are Go!, Motorhead and other raw psychobilly, punkrock and rockbands.
