The Arkanes are a four piece Alternative/Rock band from Skelmersdale. Founded by Lead Vocalist/guitarist Chris Pate they formed in late 2007,with Guitarist Adam Sheeran, Bassist/Vocalist Lee Dummett and were completed by Andy Long on the drums. However in early April 2010 Dylan Cassin has replaced Adam Sheeran as Guitarist. The band, Who have been described as an 'Untouchable live act', Have enjoyed airplay on such radio stations as XFM and recently reached number one on L.A Radio chart Songvault. Read more on Last.fm

The Lads pride themselves on high energy live performances,with songs that stand up against any bands. Their first gig in The Gravy Train,Newton Le Willows, Went down a storm and the band have since gone on to play such great venues as Manchesters Drybar and Moho Live and Liverpools Barfly and The Cavern, Amongst others. Despite their relatively short existence, they have already gained a loyal fanbase locally and out of town, and with an EP release expected in late 2008 followed by a UK tour, The Arkanes are definitely a band to look out for in the near future.
