The Adversaries

Tom Gabel's (of Against Me!) old band. Um, alot of the songs on this list are not the Adversaries that Tom was in. For some reason they got mixed up with another band that has the same name. Tom Gabel's (of Against Me!) old band. Um, alot of the songs on this list are not the Adversaries that Tom was in. For some reason they got mixed up with another band that has the same name. That band may be in existence. Whereas the Adversaries out of Naples FL only existed from late 95 to mid-late 97.

However, their self title album was released in 2000, with tom gabel on bass and vocals. The Adversaries (the REAL Adversaries) is a punk band from Chicago, IL. and was formed in the late 90s. You can visit their website at www.theadversaries.com or www.myspace.com/theadversaries.

The Adversaries from Florida seemed to have formed around the same time as the original The Adversaries band from Chicago, and the ska band from Ohio formed much later in the 2000s. Out of the bands with the same name, The Adversaries from Chicago are by far the most popular. Granted Tom Gabel went on to bigger fame, but that was on his own accord and with Against Me! At this writing, The Adversaries from Chicago just released their full-length self-titled debut (originally released in 2005) digitally at www.throwuprecords.net. The Adversaries are also a three piece punk/ska band from Dayton, Ohio, featuring Nick Adversaree on guitar, Joe Anemic on bass, and Randy Severe on Drums. This band has nothing to do with Tom Gabel, and this band is often seen with a question mark at the end of their name like this: "The Adversaries?" anyone who listens to this band should add the question mark at the end to avoid confusion.
