Adenoid: A part of your nose which swells up when you drink or smoke too much and makes you sing like a twat. The Adenoids were formed in 2005 in Luton and have yet to be removed. Formed after a drunken conversation in a pub in Luton, the original band were Bekki (Formerly of the Noisy Sluts from Hell, a Nottingham spoof punk band which achieved a brief notoriety with songs such as "I gave my Mum VD") on guitar and vox, Steve on Bass, and Ian, who subsequently left to play drums for Zadkiel, and was replaced by Katie, a tiny dreadlocked deviant urchin who has sadly moved to Bristol to form an as yet unnamed one woman ukelele band. The current line up is Matt (also known as DJ Trixylix) and Craig on drums - giving a much heavier backline. The Adenoids intended to produce punchy political songs (none of them are longer than a minute and a half) about all the things that are wrong with the country, but they keep being distracted by robots, drugs, and dressing up as zombies. They had a year of intense gigging from Blackpool to Wales, doing a lot of London shows with friends The Duel, and have supported Menace, UK Decay, Click Click, Rubella Ballet, UFX (ratfink from Alien Sex Fiends' new band), Dun 2 Def and about a hundred other bands, but have since got really lazy and don't like having to drive home after gigs.

You can see them the first thursday of every month playing an increasingly inbred night with SWANK at the George II in Luton, and at assorted local gigs in the Bedfordshire area. In November 2007 they released a split CD with the Janet Street Preachers called "It's Going to Get Worse" on PDM records and in June 2008 went back into the studio to produce their masterpiece "Sgt Felcher and the Bucket of Piss" which is available through their website and at various local outlets. They also do childrens' parties. Read more on Last.fm.
