And so begins Phase III. ‘Warnings...’ is the first full album from The 3rd Fire, the ambient/drone solo project of The Resonance Association’s noise-monger Dominic Hemy. A massive collection of both the new and the old, ‘Warnings...’ is a double album brimming with the weird and the wonderful. The first half is an overview of the wealth of material recorded in recent months, exclusive tracks interspersed with alternative edits and mixes; the second half serves as a retrospective of Phase II, all the tracks being fully remixed and reedited.

Here is a dark and twisted journey through the realms of ambient, drone, krautrock and dance, a complex mix that will take every listener somewhere different. The 3rd Fire was formed back in April 2005, the discovery of drone, ambient and electronic music made an immediate impact and opened the door to a whole new way of making music; mixed with a love of all things progressive and extreme, it made for an interesting and unique cocktail of guitar-led music. Following on from a couple of CDR demo releases, Phase II began with the release of ‘Trapped: The Imprisonment Of The Mind’; based on the recordings done in the first two days of The 3rd Fire's existence, it is a study in the use of minimalistic sounds and variations to create an intense and disturbing environment. This was quickly followed by the harsher and more extreme album, ‘The Momentum Of Inspiration’; recorded completely live, this is an album based solely on the manipulation of and experimentation with pure noise. The beginning of 2007 saw a third free album, ‘Indiscriminate Bloom’, a far more eclectic mix of tracks utilising a variety of styles and greater sense of musical freedom.

Finally there was ‘Aural Terrorism’ to mark the final chapter in this episode, an album of monolithic drones and gargantuan soundscapes aiming to challenge and relax in equal measures.
