Records. Another is the group formed by Ben Swartz and Ian Laczynski in 2006, also featuring drummer Ryan O'Rourke. Formed at Westfield State College in Westfield, Massachusetts, the group's loud and raucous take on punk rock and country was short-lived, only lasting a span of six months, but it laid the groundwork for where the three musicians would end up in the future. After a falling out between guitarists Swartz and Laczynski, the group split up in February of 2007. Swartz slowly began his career as a solo artist while Laczynski and O'Rourke collaborated as the duo Blue Coats. Swartz has recently begun to find success around his native Newburyport, Massachusetts, and on the open mic circuit in the Boston area, and plans to record an album in the near future.

He and Laczynski have since settled their differences and plan to work together in the future. Laczynski has sporadically functioned as a solo artist, while he and O'Rourke, Matt Jones, and Stephen Bailey formed the New Buildings in June 2008, though the group split in January 2009. Since then, Matt Jones began drumming for Stephen MacDonald's backing group The Okay Win, while the remaining members of the New Buildings formed Beat Surrender, featuring bassist Dana Cataldo.
