There are two bands with the name "Tango in the Attic: 1) An indie band from Scotland. Tango in the Attic is an indie-pop band from Glenrothes, Scotland. The band all grew up together in the small town of Glenrothes, Fife on the east coast of Scotland but the band Tango in the Attic came into fruition in late 2007 when the original five members were attending the University of Edinburgh. Originally consisting of brothers Daniel (vocals) and Jordan Craig (vocals/guitar), Jonathan McFarlane (guitar/organ/saxophone), James Crook (bass guitar) and Paul Johnson (drums), the band takes influence from artists such as Paul Simon and the Velvet Underground.

In October 2011 it was announced via the band's Facebook that lead vocalist Daniel Craig would be leaving to focus on his career outside the band, with brother Jordan taking over vocal duties. After forming in 2007 the band started playing small local gigs, eventually drawing in bigger crowds in bigger venues, which culminated in an appearance at T in the Park 2009 playing to an absolutely packed T-Break tent of around 2000 people, followed up by another huge gig at Rockness 2010. During the course of 2009, the band picked up a fair amount of radio play thanks in part to the championing of the band by BBC Introducing's Vic Galloway, who even invited the band in for a session to be broadcast out on BBC Radio 1. Tango's debut album Bank Place Locomotive Society was released in July 2010 and was well received by the public and the press, climbing to number one on Amazon's Indie Chart on mp3 downloads and garnering positive reviews in publications such as Artrocker, the Line of Best Fit and the Skinny. In autumn 2011 it was announced that work had begun on a second album, the first without founding member Daniel. Comparisons have been drawn with contemporaries such as Vampire Weekend and Two Door Cinema Club, as well as older acts such as Talking Heads, The Strokes and Postcard Records bands such as Orange Juice.

2) An American country band featuring members Eileen, Jim, Brian and Gosamer. Read more on Last.fm. User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply..
