Tamasha

"Tamasha was born a long time ago near the beginning of the millennium. Five forces, each carrying the power of five suns, joined together to form a mighty entity which would have lost to Voltron by only a small margin. They wrote songs like Jam ..1 and Jam ..2, ran keyboards as well as bass and vocals through a single amplifier, and performed in peoples basements and on various slabs of plywood. Eventually, they pooled their power (that would be the power of 25 suns, for those of you challenged by multiplication) and obtained the Black PA. Read more on Last.fm

With this new, substantial weapon they conquered W. B. Yeats, dance clubs full of lesbians, fratty places, and small clubs in Raleigh. In 2003 they rode into Nightsound Studios to create a statement.

A statement that would herald a new beam of rock-light into a darkened era. Now, that statement, in all its glory, is complete and made manifest. Forged with orange heat and foot odor, the inimitable work stirs fear in enemies and inspires hope in friends. In the statements creation, the five became four; no less powerful, and with renewed focus.

The Four now strive for greater conquest, driven by a desire to allow no history to go unwritten."- Tamasha Webpage Based in Raleigh, North Carolina, Tamasha breaks the boarders between Progressive Rock, Indie, Electronica, and a few other wacky genres thrown into the mix. Formed by Preston "P" Bounds on Bass and Vocals, Chris "C" Little on Guitar and Vocals, Tim "Tim Tim" Fenwick, originally Keyboards/Vocals, but later a little guitar, Matt "Engaged to Kristin" (all though currently "Married to Kristin") Little on Drums, and Danny Wise on Guitar, they originally went by the name "MMF", but then decided that it was only half as mighty as the name Tamasha. In 2005 they lost guitarist Danny Wise which made some songs not playable with only one guitarist. A short while after this event, "Tim Tim" stepped up and decided to take on the challenge of playing some back-up guitar and thus, history was made. In late 2006 they decided to break up because Bassist/Singer, Preston Bounds, "took the corporate call" and moved away to Charlotte, North Carolina. Read more on Last.fm.
