A CD posthumous compilation of all of the recorded Table material (8 songs, featuring all 4 songs from the 2 singles + 4 other songs) was released back in 1995 on Humble Records, a California label run by the guys that did "Bobby Is Fred" fanzine. You’ll find Table either gathering over a pint of bitter in the Bar in Manchester or playing ballads, recording or shooting videos in the artist filled Hope Mill in Ancoats in Manchester's Disused Mill Quater.
Guitarist Aron, who also plays his own songs as "PettyThief", got on his hands and knees and transformed a dusty (although not uncommon) disused mill room into a vibrant space for the band to work in. Table have been around for about three years now: Dave O’Dowda began to write a collection of songs for his own voice after playing with Scouse band Sizer Barker for a few years. “I missed Manchester when I was up in Liverpool all the time, I wanted to write some tunes and be a part of the scene I had been away from for those few years. One of our first gigs in Manchester was supporting James Yorkston which was a great opening gig and gave me the confidence I needed to continue” Since that first gig, Table have played support to some varied artists including Alela Diane, First Aid Kit, Casiotone for the Painfully Alone and various gigs with fellow mancunians, Nancy Elizabeth, Liz Green and Starless and Bible Black, and in the process have caught the attention of some of Manchester’s finest music lovers including Marc Riley, Stuart Maconie and Guy Garvey. It’s their upcoming debut single 'Songs You Can Sing' that has gathered most of this attention... Songs You Can Sing’ is released on limited edition 7” vinyl on 25th January in a joint venture between Manchester independent label Humble Soul and Birmingham's highly regarded Static Caravan label, and is available to download now from iTunes etc. www.tablemusic.co.uk 4.
