He showed his sense of innovation again when he released his Mystery Pop album in 2010, containing songs inspired by Thrillers, endorsed by their writers including bestselling authors Glenn Cooper, Patrice Chaplin and Kathleen McGowan. As a result De Raaf was nominated for a Eurosonic Interactive Artist Award. In 2013 he founded Stage Republic and started to release a steady stream of music. De Raaf formed a production team around him with Dutch producer Bart Janssen and engineer Robert Goudswaard.
In 2014 they burst onto the international music scene with debut album ‘Firstage’. The record earned widespread praise for its distinctive pop combined with electro elements, uniting disco, pop, rock and dance to great effect. 2017 saw co-operations with legendary producer/engineer Jay Messina (Aerosmith, KISS, Supertramp). The songs of Stage Republic got a lot of attention and airplay on indie radio stations around the globe which didn't go unnoticed.
Stage Republic was nominated 10 times for the Independent Music & Entertainment (IMEA) Awards and won Best Pop Song in 2016 in Nashville where De Raaf also performed during the award show. In 2018 he scooped up 7 Indie Music Channel Awards at the Hollywood Hardrock Cafe in Los Angeles. In the same year Stage Republic harvested 2 Global Music Awards, the Unsigned Only honorable mention and the 2nd consecutive nomination for a Hollywood Music in Media Award. In 2018 several upcoming DJ's released official remixes of Stage Republic notably Rise and Fall ( Samlight), Spirit Animal ( Greg Dela) and Frailty ( Galardo). Read more on Last.fm.
