Slashed Seat Affair have just finished the final touches on their debut album Noises. The first single from the album, “Forget You”, will be released on the Fill The Void Records label on February 16th 2009 with the album being released in March 2009. Slashed Seat Affair’s music, which they describe as “lip smacking, groove drenching, dirty tasting, riff arresting, drum splitting, amp blasting, siren singing, rock popping... that’s Slashed Seat Affair” is based around the song writing partnership of lead singer Ellie Mules and Bass player Darren Michael. Guitarist Noël Martin and Drummer Rob Meehan - the cousin of Sex Pistol Johnny Rotten - complete the band. Recorded at London’s Strongroom studios the album was produced by Phil Tyreman, who was introduced to the band by legendary producer Robin Millar (Sade, Everything but the Girl, Fine Young Cannibals). Slashed Seat Affair were the first UK band to get airplay on US station Insomnia Radio, have been artist of the week on Italy’s Music Network, won Talk Sport Radio listeners vote, were nominated artist of the week on Popworld Promotes and rated the ‘Hype’ on the Vaionation Sony website 4 weeks running.

The bands video “The Making of Forget You” was the #1 most watched video on the youtube music channel with over 26,000 views. Earlier this year Slashed Seat Affair were asked to join US satellite radio station Upop/Worldspace for their live sessions from Studio Two, Abbey Road. They were described as one of this year’s most hotly tipped global recording artists. Read more on Last.fm.
