The band consists of Niall Donnelly on vox, Dom Muldoon on guitar, John Colbert on bass and his sparring partner Tim McGrath completing the line up on drums. Over the last few years they have each had a wild ride through the industry playing with Paddy Casey, Damien Dempsey, Morrissey, Laura Izibor and Alpha States amongst others and working with producers like George Drakoulis, Mike Hedges, John Cornfield and Jim Lowe. In 2006 they came together to start this recording that became I Am No One and it is an album that sounds like their last two years – hectic, brash and beautiful. “Sixteen Layers are like a juggernaut… their debut is a sonic tour de force… File under “I” for impressive…”, Edwin Mcfee, Hot Press.

And with a great review of the album in the Feb 25th issue of Hot Press Sixteen Layers looks set to be a big hitter in 2009 and beyond… See more at SixteenLayers.com or myspace.com/sixteenlayers Read more on Last.fm.
