In 2004 Six.Point.Five won the MK Pitz Band Blitz competition, wrote and recorded their debut album 'Its All About The Sax' which promptly sold out all copies. The 'Hardcore Hornography' EP followed in January 2005 and repeated the feat. In October 2004 the band made it through to the finals of unsigned music talent TV show 'First Up' (Community Channel on Sky, NTL, Freeview) - and won it! They also managed to take home 3 MK Citizen Go! Awards at their local awards night for album of the year, best rock band and best indie band. The prize for winning 'First Up' was 5 days recording and mixing at Abbey Road Studios in July 2005. The band recorded 3 tracks with producer Dave Chang while fronting a documentary about their recording experience.

The resulting 'Abbey Road Sessions' helped the band to pick up 'Best EP' and 'Best Rock Band' for the 2nd year running at the 2005 MK Citizen Go! Awards and has received many favourable reviews. Radio One's Mike Davies has played 'Hassle' on two consecutive 'Lock Up' shows and the band are regulars on Big George's Show on BBC Three Counties Radio. The band has also been featured by Steve Harris's show 'The Edge' on Virgin Radio Extreme. In 2006 the band will continue to gig furiously up and down the country, uniting people with a common love for music, peace, respect and the urge boogie all night long. Its time for a music revolution. 'Nuff said. Read more on Last.fm. User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply..
