Over their seven years of existence they expanded to the size of a small orchestra with seven people altogether playing post-rock with a disco-like edge on guitar, bass, drums, keyboards, two saxophones and vinyls. They went on a few small tours and played individual concerts in nearby Europe and finally disbanded in 2003, performing a symbolical goodbye concert on the band's seventh anniversary. The band was one of the core elements of the third wave of Latvian underground gravitating around the Tornis label and studio situated in an actually functioning watertower. Before, after and parallel to Sirke the members have also been in such significant bands as Baložu Pilni Pagalmi, Kartāga, Ēnu Kabinets, Shine On, Voiceks Voiska, Sarkanais Oktobris, Atdod Zapti, Pest of a Child, Inokentijs Mārpls, Gaserata and also performed solo.
Bands they've toured with include Unun from Iceland and Ray Speedway and the Devils of Pace and Bowling Boi from the UK. Read more on Last.fm. User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply..
