Born in London, Simon is a UK session bassist best known for his work with The Divine Comedy, Clare Teal, Maggie Reilly, Duke Special and The Duckworth Lewis Method. Simon started a solo bass project in 2008, and his debut solo album Mandala was released in August 2010. A graduate of the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London, Simon joined The Divine Comedy in 2002 and is still a regular member of the band. He has since toured and recorded with Clare Teal, Maggie Reilly, A Girl Called Eddy, Duke Special, The Duckworth Lewis Method and Chris Difford.

As a jazz bass player he plays regularly with Ian Shaw, Lea Delaria, Symeon Cosburn, and Nina Ferro. Simon has also played with Nick Cave, Carleen Anderson, Beth Rowley and Ben Folds.
