Side Out played a large number of concerts, consolidating the image of the band. Near the end of 2000 there were some changes in the band's lineup. Brett Harrell was added on bass guitar. In January 2001 , they recorded a promotional EP with 3 songs.
These songs had much more power which followed a great credibility in the local punk scene and leading them to the number 1 position in the punk charts of www.garageband.com, elected by the listeners. The song " Victim of Reality " stuck at number 1 for more than 8 consecutive months (achieved by very few artists.) In July 2001 , the band was ready and about to record their second CD called "Taking Chances" (released in the USA by the label Stool Pingeon Records.) when a second change of band lineup occurred within only two weeks for anticipating sessions at the studio. Drummer Danny Strong was added into the group, bringing new blood and a lot of talent to the band. Side Out is a mixture of many influences of each band member. Metal? Punk? Or the classic rock and roll? These are questions that may arise at the sound of these Brazilians and Americans.
